Lagom is a lifestyle magazine from Bristol that showcases people who achieve a sense of balance between work and play – ‘those making a living from their passions’.
It’s one of the best of an increasing wave of publications that scrutinise the professional and recreational lives of creative and craftspeople who manage to step outside the mainstream. Lagom was started by Samantha and Elliot Jay Stocks who previously ran the typography magazine 8 Faces. They chose the name Lagom (a Swedish term) because it means having just the right amount of something. Each issue is divided into three sections (revamped in issue 6), with names providing a reasonably accurate idea of the territory. The first is 'Visit', the second is 'Craft' and thirdly is 'Unwind'.
