Frieze is one of the best known journals of contemporary art and culture in the UK. If you don’t read many, this is one to pick up.
Each issue (eight a year) assembles essays, previews, reviews and columns by leading writers, artists and curators. The London-based magazine was started in 1991 by Amanda Sharp and Matthew Slotover who also founded the Frieze art fair. In 2011 the magazine launched a bilingual German/English edition based in Berlin, Frieze d/e.
